Wizzie Analytics, together with its partner NTT Ltd. presents a solution that will transform the IFEMA MADRID space into a smart venue during FITUR 2022. It’s technology that has already been successfully tested at FITUR 2021 and that returns this year to increase security, improve efficiency and provide an optimal experience for all participants.
Wizzie and NTT, together with IFEMA MADRID, propose a solution in the field of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence to provide valuable data on visitor behaviour, based on people-counting cameras and measuring devices connected to Cisco Wi-Fi wireless systems with which the venue is equipped, collecting anonymous data on the position and behaviour to ensure the privacy of visitors.
This real-time data analysis technology of spaces will be implemented at IFEMA MADRID on January 19th to 23rd, 2022 during the Fitur 2022 fair, and will take advantage of the advanced Wi-Fi 6 network deployed with Cisco technology.

Through the information that the Wizzie Data Platform collects from IoT sensors, IFEMA will obtain data on attendees such as: location, movements, amount of time in an area, visitor count, entries and exits, etc. Tracking screens will show the movement and concentration of visitors and trade show staff alike, by means of so-called ‘dynamic heat maps’ to provide a safe venue experience.
The analysis of the data at the IFEMA MADRID site during Fitur will therefore allow live detection of high occupancy or high traffic areas in order to act immediately and create a better distribution of visitors during the trade show, which will lead to more efficient overall service times.

Innovation to improve the interaction with the space
Big Data and Machine Learning are making a difference for organizers, trade shows, exhibitors and attendees. The use of this technology helps organizers to be more efficient and achieve greater attendee satisfaction, beyond just security.
For visitors who wish to use IFEMA MADRID’s guest wifi network, Wizzie and NTT’s technology will be able to create detailed profiles. The data obtained will make it possible to understand visitors’ tastes and trends in order to offer them personalized information, based on their location and interests.
The data, analyzed together and in the right context, helps very much when it comes to understanding the behavior of visitors in order to improve their experience and ensure that trade shows such as Fitur continue to increase their popularity and satisfaction levels.
Wizzie shows the social media posts of users in real time by means of the hashtags defined during an event. In this way, organizers can assess the satisfaction of users attending an event, based on their opinions on social networks.

Intelligent analysis to create more efficient spaces
By transforming Ifema’s floor plans into digital maps, it is possible to use the collected data to optimize the design of events and improve booth layout.
Presence and location data provides detailed information on where visitors are passing through, where they are staying, routes, etc., but it is also possible to monitor queue formation, potential bottlenecks and crowding through Wizzie’s location-based reporting tools.
Prediction based on intelligent space analysis helps reduce staff interventions and improve event attendance rates.

Technology that provides greater safety
The Wizzie Data Platform system is capable of examining terabytes of visitor movement data, the temperature of a space, or CO2 levels. A high CO2 level represents an excessive density of people per square meter, which makes it difficult to maintain a safe distance and increases the chances of COVID spreading. Hence the importance of this solution that can issue alerts to anticipate and enable more effective decision making.
Wizzie Data Platform’s (WDP) social distance solution will survey in real time the density of people per square meter and the social distance between them by triggering an alarm if any quadrant has, at any time, a density close to or above the established limits. In such cases, it is possible to send security personnel to that particular area to divert people flows or manage queues.

According to Eduardo López-Puerta, general director of IFEMA MADRID, “the decision to use the Wizzie Analytics and NTT Ltd. system for FITUR represents a commitment to strengthen the conventional anti-Covid measures, relying on an innovative technological solution, and turning FITUR into an intelligent space to maximize the security of attendees”.
FITUR 2022, to be held January 19th to 23rd, will spread over eight pavilions, with a net surface area of 56,700 m2, which will allow the participation of more than 6,933 participants from 107 countries. To ensure that the fair is held in a safe context, IFEMA MADRID will reinforce health controls and will take all measures to ensure that the fair is held in a safe and sanitary environment. In addition, various systems and technological advances have been implemented to help maintain the highest levels of security during FITUR, such as the Wizzie Analytics system and NTT Ltd, among others.
